Monday is rarely the favorite day of the week. No more weekends, back to work or school… But Monday, January 17, called “Blue Monday”, is apparently the worst! It is even considered the most depressing day of the year. So what can you do to brighten up this special Monday? The Bdreams team gives you its advice!
Tip #1: Take breaks during the day!
If you work without resting, you will eventually become exhausted and quickly feel overwhelmed . The little breaks that you are going to allow yourself today will allow you to clarify your ideas and bring you a feeling of well-being linked to relaxation. To do this, we recommend a 15 to 30-minute nap at lunchtime, a restful sleep to boost your afternoon!
Tip #2: Get physical exercise.
Performing physical exercises reduces anxiety and stress, combined with a healthy and balanced diet, you allow your body and your mind to free themselves from many tensions. Give yourself 20 to 30 minutes today for a little jogging, for example.
Tip #3: Sleep well tonight!
Because there is nothing better than a restful night to be in a good mood. It is advisable to sleep 7 to 8 hours per night for adults and 9 to 11 hours for teenagers. Do not hang around on your smartphone, screens before sleeping are not recommended, in fact, the light given off by these devices slows down the production of melatonin (the sleep hormone). To sleep through the night, sleep in a dark, quiet bedroom. Also remember to go to the toilet before going to bed to reduce the risk of waking up in the middle of the night.
Because there is no reason for today to be so depressing!
Bdreams wishes you the best of Blues Monday with a top mood! A good night's sleep and you'll be ready to start a great new day!
